Koheron Alpha250 is a programmable board built around a Zynq 7020 SoC.
The 100 MHz RF front end (dual 14-bit ADC 250 MSPS and dual 16-bit DAC 250 MSPS) combines high dynamic performance with DC precision. Analog input to output latency can be as small as 80 ns, allowing to implement digital control loops up to a few MHz.
The RF ADC and DAC are clocked by a dual PLL, ultra-low jitter clock generator. The clock generator accepts a reference clock input from the FPGA, an external clock, or the internal temperature-controlled crystal oscillator
It includes a 4 channel 24-bit ADC and 4 channel 16-bit DAC for precision monitoring and control. A 2.5 V low-drift voltage reference and a +/- 0.25 °C accurate temperature sensor ensure long-term stability.
The board comes with a comprehensive hardware / software reference design. It includes a web interface to monitor and control all the major board sub-systems.
The Alpha250 fits in a 10 x 10 cm square and can operate between 0 and 50 °C.
