DRV700 dithon

Disable, enable, or read DRV700 output-current dithering.

On DRV700, dithon controls dithering of the calibrated output-current setpoint used by iout. It is not a general-purpose DAC dithering control for every analog output.

Notes

A write of 0 disables DRV700 output-current dithering. A write of 1 enables DRV700 output-current dithering. Other values are invalid.

Enable dithon when the requested iout value needs effective resolution between adjacent raw DAC codes. Disable dithon to use the nearest raw DAC code without dithering.

When dithon is enabled, set the current with iout rather than iraw. Use iraw only when direct raw DAC-code control is required.
