For compiling FPGA instruments, you can use a recent version of Vivado. You do not need Vivado 2017.2.
Vivado 2017.2 is only required when rebuilding the legacy ALPHA250 operating-system image.
For new developments, we recommend using the V1 branch of the Koheron SDK, which uses Vivado 2025.1.
V1 remains under active development ahead of the major release. Boards currently ship with a V0 image; build and install a V1 OS image to use the V1 development workflow. To keep using the supplied image, follow the V0 documentation and use the SDK master branch.
