Which Vivado version should I use with the ALPHA250?

For compiling FPGA instruments, you can use a recent version of Vivado. You do not need Vivado 2017.2.

Vivado 2017.2 is only required when rebuilding the legacy ALPHA250 operating-system image.

For new developments, we recommend using the V1 branch of the Koheron SDK, which uses Vivado 2025.1.
