No. They are voltage-sensing inputs and can be left unconnected. The laser current is supplied through LD+ and LD-.
To measure the laser voltage, connect VL+ to the anode and VL- to the cathode using separate sensing wires at the laser terminals.
With VL inputs disconnected, do not rely on vlaser readings or voltage-based LASER LED/DO1 indication (vlmin, where supported).
