save

Advanced write V1.0-rc54-2d701ce All

Save the current user configuration to non-volatile memory.

The command stores configurable settings so they can be restored at boot. It returns the stored EEPROM configuration CRC after saving. The exact saved settings depend on the product and firmware configuration.

Usage

>> save
A1B2

Notes

The board boots with the saved configuration only when the CFG switch is set to 1 at boot and the saved configuration CRC is valid. If the CFG switch is set to 0, the board starts with its default configuration instead.

save also writes the EEPROM configuration CRC. The CRC is written last, so an interrupted save cannot validate a partially written configuration at the next startup.

After upgrading from firmware without configuration CRC support, run save once after verifying the configuration if it should be restored on the next boot.

Use save after changing settings that should persist, such as brate, bdid, muxon, errmsk, stmsk, sequ, and regs. Commands that write their own non-volatile data, such as userdata and raw-binary memw, do not require save for that data.
